Wetlands, Parks, Reserves and beautiful gardens

Wetlands, Magnificent new modern gardens at St Kilda

St Kilda is a new suburb of Cambridge and our two gardens showcase the suburb, with modern structural gardens that interact with the wetlands and parks and reserves of the area.

Ground was broken on the 80 hectare St Kilda development in mid 2012.  A total of 285 sections are to be developed, and many are already well established with lovely gardens.   St Kilda is an energy efficient and eco friendly development, built around 4 hectares of wetlands, parks and reserves.

We are delighted to have two properties in this years Cambridge Garden Festival from St Kilda.  These are gardens 2 and 3.

Garden 2 at 20 Baxter Michael Crescent is owned by April and Denis Poppe.  They have lived in Cambridge for over 40 years and have had open gardens at previous properties. They bought their property in the St Kilda subdivision, designed and built their beautiful house fronting the wetlands and moved in 2016.

Their garden was designed “for them” by ‘Line and Design’ with Lynley Fife as the landscape designer who was also involved with the St Kilda development landscaping of the wetland areas and parks. They are really enjoying their environment and their new residence.

Garden 3 belongs to Sandy and Rick Jowitt, across the road at 21 Baxter Michael Crescent.  This is a more formal garden with clipped hedges and raised gardens and a variety of structural shapes to contrast the greenery.

St Kilda also has a great cafe to visit and pause at during your day.
