2018 Charities

In 2018 we raised just under $30,000 for the following charities:

Through the generosity of our sponsors, the bulk of the costs of the
Cambridge Garden Festival were covered, meaning the money that
we raised through ticket sales was donated to our charities.

We had three charities in 2018 and the funds raised
went back into the wider Cambridge region.

Cambridge Community House

Cambridge Community House Trust is the primary social service provider for Cambridge and its surrounds.

We aim to assist in the restoration and improvement in one’s mental wellbeing by providing counselling, support, encouragement, and education to those in need of help.

We also provide financial mentoring.

Our mission is to support the people of Cambridge to make positive changes in their own lives by providing support, education and resources.

Our vision is a strong, connected community of empowered people.

Rotary Club of Cambridge

The Rotary Club of Cambridge is part of Rotary International, an international service organisation.

The purpose of the club is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and to advance goodwill
and peace around the world.

The members of the Rotary Club of Cambridge work together to provide in person support, and also to raise funds to support these purposes, including the annual Bookarama, Charity Dinner, Cambridge Findit, and from 2018, the Taste Waikato cookbook and the Cambridge Garden Festival.

The club meets weekly on Thursdays from 5.30pm at 4 Vogel Street, Resthaven Community Centre.

Victim Support

Victim Support Waikato’s free, 24 hour service provides emotional and practical support, information, referral to other support services and advocacy for the rights of victims.

We help victims find strength, hope and safety in the face of grief and trauma at what may be the
worst time of their life.

Victim Support is an independent incorporated society that provides a free 24 / 7 community response to help victims of serious crime and trauma. Volunteers are at the heart of our service.
